Fortune 200 - Health Solutions Company is seeking a Technical Nurse.  

The Technical Nurse serves as the primary point of contact for
seriously and/or chronically ill members.  He or she uses the Internet and
e-mail to facilitate member needs including coordination of care with vendors,
customer service, services available through web resources, and resources
within the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Contacting scheduled admissions from "potential reports" for counseling,
  education, and provision of information on upcoming services and alternative
  therapies where appropriate
• Contacting members who have been/are hospitalized to assist with discharge planning Coordinating and entering appropriate home health, Disease Management, and ancillary services as required by medical management plan
• Performing condition assessments and health risk appraisals
• Navigating members to appropriate web resources for condition management/information
• Educating and navigating members to the web for health benefit and drug information
• Contacting all new members to offer orientation to web-based tools for interacting.

The position includes 8 to 10 weeks of training in Louisville, after which a home office setting will be utilized.  
Candidate MUST be able to work from home and must have DSL/Cable access.  
Candidate must also have a flexible schedule - early mornings, evenings, and weekends are possible.

Minimum Requirements:

BSN required
3 to 5 years experience in a clinical setting
1 to 3 years of direct patient education required
Must have strong Internet navigation and technology skills
Must be able to demonstrate ability to skillfully and quickly navigate the
web and locate credible clinical information
