JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Job #: 180 (Be sure to refer to job number when applying)
Wage: $31.69 - $37.29 hourly (Part-Time)
Job Requirements: Schedule variable; work 20 to 24 hours per week.
 Bachelors degree with a major in Nursing or health related field.
 At least two years of experience working as a nurse practitioner in a women,s health care setting.
 Must have experience evaluating STDs. Experience or courses in clinical
 research desired but not required. Must have current license to practice as a
 Registered Nurse and a certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued
 by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Must have personal vehicle,
 valid California Driver,s license and proof of current auto insurance. Skills
 in MS Word and Centrifuge operation required. Excellent verbal and written
 English communication skills required.
 
 Description of Duties:

• Coordinate a multisite, phase III, herpes vaccine efficacy study. Oversee
  study progress (participant screening, enrollment, vaccination, adverse event
  evaluation, participant counseling and follow-up) for subjects enrolled at
  multiple study sites in the South Bay area
• For study participants enrolled at the Harbor-UCLA site, obtain histories
  and perform physical exams (including gynecologic and STD evaluations),
  evaluate adverse events, and oversees study progress
• Serve as the primary liaison with the study sponsor and sponsor
  subcontractors. Prepare progress reports.
