Must possess the ability to provide professional nursing care to Obstetric patients 
in a multifaceted unit. Collaborates with peers and physicians to assure delivery of quality patient care. 
Will utilize delegation and critical thinking skills to provide quality service through a team oriented, 
collaborative approach to patient care. Will interact with patients, families, visitors, and all members 
of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care. 
Will demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and assesses 
data reflective of the patient's status. Graduate of School of Professional Nursing. 

Previous experience preferred but not required. Must have current Registered Nurse license 
in the State of Virginia or eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam. Fetal monitor interpretation 
skills desired. Evidence of strong interpersonal/communication skills and customer service 
understanding. Must successfully complete orientation and competency requirements, 
obtain/maintain CPR certification, and possible ACLS, PALS, NRP, 
certifications based on specific work unit.
